Hi, I’m Leilani Symon.

As a transitional life and therapeutic coach, I specialise in narcisstic abuse recovery and help people break free from the bondage of dysfunctional family systems, to become the true self they were never permitted to be.

I also offer pure coaching, and enjoy the process of facilitating mapping the terrain of one’s life and and in structuring processes that succeed in achieving one’s goals. As well as mapping the way to and assessing the steps needed to be taken to achieve success, we shine a light that uncovers any limiting beliefs that may be blocking the path to achieving your goals. Once these limiting beliefs are tackled, freedom can be found to a life lived more abundantly.

A practical and pleuralistic approach anchored in psychological theory and sound biblical doctrine inform my work. (I am trained as a coach and in counselling skills and have an academic background in psychology with counselling).

Collaborative Approach based In Pluralistic Theory through a Biblical Lense.

I believe in the power of collaboration in unleashing the real you who is self-differentiated and self-realised, the you who God knitted you together in the womb to be. We will walk through a series of practical steps to guide you to a place where you will be free to be the you that you were never permitted to be.

My practice focuses on self-differentiation, on becoming the true self that one was never permitted to be, or never permitted themselves to be. The focus is forward looking, and by the end, you will be in a much stronger place than at the start.   I work with a pluralistic theory-based approach and focus on spiritual, emotional and physical health and wellbeing.  This focus sheds light on the practical solutions that you have available to you.  My practice is faith based - God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind, so become transformed by the renewing of your mind, through the power of the Holy Spirit and let’s facilitate a space where any lingering limiting beliefs or fears can be faced and worked through with love.

The bible says that we must be as little children to enter the kingdom of heaven. Through the process of self differentiation, we are able to take the hand of the inner child in us and come to a collaborative process between our adult and inner child and become as children so as to enter the peace and joy that the kingdom of heaven has to offer.

It is crucial however, that we be armed with knowledge (we must study to show ourselves approved), so that we can be wise as a serpent yet gentle as a dove. This is where I come in, to guide and facilitate a safe space for recovery from the bondage of the past, from limiting beliefs and where growth to a better and brighter you blossoms, where you have life and life more abundantly.

As a young girl, I also saw beauty in all people – I would write “Never neglect the beauty in the world around you, especially the little of it that runs through all human veins.” whenever sharing my phone number (yes, it was all ink and paper in those days!).  But in that line of thinking, I thoroughly enjoy life-coaching as every person going through the coaching process is so unique and different, each with their own personal strengths and values and they have all the answers they need within themselves.  Facilitating a space for these answers to be found is something I feel called to do because this is what I have been focussing on myself for a long time.  (They do say we are our own first client!)

In my spare time, I can be found reading and researching in all subjects psychology, coaching and counselling related, meditating on scripture, writing and producing gospel music, singing in worshipful praise at the piano (or having a full on praise party!) or spending time with her beautiful daughter, who is home educated.

My Approach

Here at Seeking Wisdom Coaching, guidance and support are facilitated in a space where accountability and biblical truth are of upmost importance.  The coaching - coachee relationship is a collaborative one where iron sharpens iron.  Here, self-awareness is drawn on as the premise for truth to be found and success to be attained, so that one can have life and life more abundantly.  Jesus said that we must love others as we love ourselves, so it is important to have love toward ourselves and that comes in the form of honesty with ourselves about who we are and what limiting beliefs might be hindering us in the attainment of our goals.  We are to plan our way, even though it is the Lord who orders our steps.  Here at Seeking Wisdom Coaching, it is the coach, the coachee and the Holy Spirit working together – as a three stranded cord is not quickly broken.

A practical approach to reach fully functional freedom

Taking a practical and well tested approach, having a background in psychology and in deliverance and trained in the application of counselling skills, I can help you to map the terrain of where you are and plan the path to full freedom to then allow God to order your steps and for you to become the self-differentiated you who God knitted you together in the womb to be.

FAQ

  • First things first, don't be nervous. We can start with a free consultation to determine your coaching needs (and if we'll make great collaborators in the proccess). If you would like this, then please email me at seekingwisdomcoaching@outlook.com to schedule a time.

  • Pricing is based your desired timeline for coaching.

Discounts are available for students and those on government assisted benefits.

  • Engagement lasts as little or as long as is desired or required by the client. Sessions last 50 minutes and it is recommended for them to take place fortnightly. Depending on your needs, you may choose weekly or monthly sessions also. I advise having sessions no more than a month apart. All booked packages must be used within a calender year of purchase.

  • Coaching and counselling are similar in many ways, they both use active listening skills and are both tailored to the client’s personal needs. Coaching however, although it often looks back, to see where limiting beliefs were adopted by an individual, is a forward looking process, anchored in the substance of the hope of becoming the best version of yourself that is possible.
